Match Description:

With neither side getting a single card and barely a few bad tackles, the game was fairly played and looked even. Russia going 2-0 up may of thought they had the match won, but Mexico had a different approach as they went in for half time. Mexico came out a completely different team and as they looked the weaker side, just in the first half, the tabels were completely flipped and Mexico began to play a tiny bit better than Russia. Bringin on Castillo Mexico's Guardado scores and puts Mexico back in the game and a last minute goal by the super-sub himself, Castillo scores a fine, unlikely goal in the dying last minutes to give them both teams a point.

Kerzhakov had the best goal as he put Russia ahead scoring a beautiful outside of the box shot, amazing.

(xUKx Renegade) Mexico 2 v 1 Cameroon (IX SMITH XI)

Match Description:

Mexico got off to an excellent start as Vuoso put Mexico 1-0 up. Mexico dominated the first half and didn't claim on some of their attempts on goal as they would of liked too.
The second half and Cameroon started to fight back as they missed a few easy tap-in goals they finally scored as Salcido scored an own goal and made the scoreline 1-1. Salcido headed a cross in from the Cameroon side and left Mexico feeling more pressure than they needed to be under.
The 90th minute and Cameroon missed a evry easy one on one and Mexico looked to counter attack. It seems Castillo has saved Mexico again and has rightfully earned his name in the Mexico squad. Coming on as a sub for the second time in 2 games and scoring another 90th minute goal to secure more points for Mexico.

Good game mate, very close game, both missed some easy chance but I feel you missed more. Very unlucky on your half but Mexico edge their way further in to the knock-out stages as more points get added to their list but could of easily been lost if Mexico's keeper and Castillo hadn't had anything to say about it.

Match Description:

A very close game with end to end stuff. Shay Given saved RoI from going a goal or two down in the first half but couldn't help concede his first goal as Richard Dunne helps the oppostion go 1-0 up as Vela shoots and Dunne rebounds the ball and the flight of the ball changes and goes high up in the air and slowly dips in to the back of the RoI net.
Self-Proclaimed Super-Sub, Castillo scores his 3rd goal in 3 matches.
RoI missed a few chances and could of easily brought the score line up a bit to favour themselves.

Match Description:

Brazil thinknig Mexico should be 3 points for themselves and Mexico wondering if they could snatch 3 points or hold out for just the 1, turned out to be a fantastic game. Brazil ruled out any points for Mexico as Brazil lead 3-0 going in to the 2nd half. As the 2nd half whistle goes, Mexico kick off and Lesandro Augusto and Vuoso do fantastic 1-2 passing the whole way and Lesandro Augusto nets his first goal for his country in the group stages.
After the first half hour the score was 3-2. 90th minute and Castillo does what he does best by being a sub, subbed on in the 70th minute and his 3rd/4 games so far in the group stages scores in the 90th minute. Mexico may of took the 3 points in the 90+2 but Brazil's keeper makes a good save.


Match Conclusion:

A wonderful game with very one sided halves and a lucky goal from both teams. I'd give Brazil 9/10 first half and Mexico 5/10 and Mexico 9/10 2nd half for persistance and kept edging for goals and Brazil 4/10. The whole match as a whole and the game was very even.
